Donations and Events

Donations in the memory of  Alex Capozza are encouraged to be made to the Jenna Druck Foundation.

ABOUT THE JENNA DRUCK FOUNDATION

Jenna Druck (1975-1996) not only loved life, she embraced it with every fiber of her being. She was filled with boundless energy and enthusiasm, and had compiled an impressive resume of accomplishments when, at age 21, she was killed in a tragic bus accident in India while studying abroad in the Semester-at-Sea program. Her spirit lives on through the work of The Jenna Druck Foundation.

The mission of The Jenna Druck Foundation is to provide a lifeline to families who have lost a loved one and a path for young women to become leaders in their own lives.

Since 1996, the programs of The Jenna Druck Foundation have touched and inspired thousands. Proceeds from this event will enable the Foundation to continue and expand its incredibly worthwhile work, particularly supporting its Families Helping Families Program.

Sponsorship Opportunities

On March 6, 2010, hundreds of community members will gather to honor the memory of Alex Capozza and raise funds for the organization that his family has selected, The Jenna Druck Foundation.  The Pacific Athletic Club has graciously offered to host and lead this community wide effort.  Activities include tennis tournaments at the following clubs:

  • Pacific Athletic Club
  • Rancho Valencia Resort
  • Morgan Run Country Club
  • Del Mar Country Club
  • Rancho Santa Fe Tennis Club
  • Surf and Turf Tennis Club

An evening event is planned that will be a celebratory party, everyone wearing “angel white” and dancing the night away at The Pacific Athletic Club. Plans include holding an opportunity drawing with wonderful prizes. The theme of the event, “PAC of Angels” will highlight the many community members who have supported the Capozza family through the tragedy of the loss of their son.  Since Alex was killed by a drunk driver, the party will be a “non-alcoholic” event, allowing the adults of the community to model to community youth the important fact that you can have fun without the use of alcohol, stimulants, or drugs.

Dozens of community members are stepping forward to help make this day happen.  They are angels and we are inviting you to be an angel too!
